Margaret G Sullivan is a Post Graduate Researcher in BioArCh within the Department of Archaeology at the University of York. She is a medieval archaeologist interested in combining bioarchaeological methods with the archaeological record and historical sources to study demographic, political, and cultural transitions and the lived experiences of medieval peoples.
Her previous research has focused on the interfaith, multicultural Frankish-Levantine community of Parvum Gerinum between the First and Second Crusades (BA, University of Evansville) and the evolution of techniques used to detect changes in the archaeological record potentially caused by the Second Plague Pandemic in England (MPhil, University of Cambridge).
As part of MEDGREENREV, she will contribute to the analysis of stable and radiogenic isotopes to examine the nature of human migration and dietary patterns following the Islamic Conquest through to the Late Middle Ages.
