Arabic philologist (1999, UB), Documentalist (2012, UOC) and PhD in Arabic Philology (2008, ULL). She received the highest recognition for her thesis: El marco jurídico del medio rural. Teoría y práctica legales en la agricultura de al-Andalus (ss. VIII-XV), for which she later obtained the Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado.
Her lines of research focused on the Andalusian rural environment have required the management of legal, agricultural, botanical, historical-geographical and literary sources. As a result of this work, she has published and coordinated books, as well as a multitude of research articles, some of them in prestigious and widely distributed magazines such as al-Qantara, MEAH or Estudios sobre Patrimonio, Cultura y Ciencia Medievales.
Since 2016, she has participated in research projects within the framework of the University of Granada and the Escuela de Estudios Árabes de Granada (CSIC), an organization to which she is linked through the LAAC research group (HUM 104).
