From Bones to Beliefs: Human Resilience in the Multi-Faith Medieval Islamic Mediterranean

On Thursday 25 September (14:00–17:00 CEST), the international online workshop 'From Bones to Beliefs: Human Resilience in the Multi-Faith Medieval Islamic Mediterranean' will take place, co-organised by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the University of York.

This event brings together recent research in bioarchaeology, genetics, funerary archaeology and social history across the medieval Islamic Mediterranean. Case studies from Morocco, al-Andalus, Sicily, Valencia, Catalonia and northern Iberia will be discussed, offering new insights into coexistence, adaptation, and resilience in the past.
